It took me a year and a half to dive back into the Grishaverse, but I am so glad I did! Alina has my heart forever, because her story is nearly perfection from beginning to end, but the crows are pretty cool too. I do 100% think it resonates with early 30‘s me more than it would have with teen me, though, so that‘s perhaps noteworthy.
Monk Nichephoerous‘ dream of Saint Nicholas leads him on a heist to steal the Saint‘s bones. With irreverent and sometimes nihilistic language it still sometimes a little too opaque for me and the style often leaves me feeling detached from the characters.

Found this in my local charity shop! I've been looking for this for ages and it's got red sprayed edges which look so cool
I'm so happy! Always check out charity shops 🤣
It was a lighthearted read about the crazy house-heisting capers by a group of indomitable women. Very Downton Abby esc. This is what happens when you upset Mrs King. After years of loyal service, she is let go and she decides to get even. They just didn't see it coming. It is a sweet easy read but it will not set the world on fire or make me dash to read other offerings by Alex Hay.
Witty and intelligent, Nicked weaves a magical story out of historical facts.
Anyone else see this?
This was a charming YA heist of a group of all asexual friends!
While there are a lot of things I like about Las Vegas, the actual casinos are pretty low on the list. 🤣
#SundayFunday Hope you all have a great day and don‘t forget to tag me!
A fun heist. Very Ocean's 8, only set in 1905 and they're robbing a mansion. Some of the character subplots bog the story down a bit, without actually letting us get invested in them, and some characters we barely get to know at all. But overall this was very entertaining. Would make a fun movie for sure.
