pickI‘m sorry but I could not stick to one chapter a day for the buddy read! 😳🙊😬 I don‘t know why I‘ve never read this book but it holds the same charm as the Anne of Green Gables series and just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I‘m lucky because I got the entire show on DVD awhile back and I can‘t wait to watch it when I finish the series. Emily is hilarious and I can‘t wait to read book 2. 5⭐️

JenlovesJT47 @Tamra yeah I had a hard time putting this down because I‘ve been reading so much heavy stuff lately and I needed a break. It‘s funny and sweet and has the same charm as the AOGG series (which I love!). Definitely need to escape sometimes and this is the perfect series for that. ❤️ 3y

JenlovesJT47 @BarbaraJean I had watched probably the first 4 or 5 episodes years ago and while I liked it well enough, the tone is very different from the book. They change a lot of stuff and it is much darker. But I really like the actress they got to play Aunt Elizabeth. It‘s probably best to watch it a couple of months after we finish all the books so we don‘t get too mad about all the changes! 😬 3y
BarbaraJean @JenlovesJT47 Oh, that‘s interesting that it‘s darker than the book. Because I definitely think of the Emily series as darker than a lot of Montgomery‘s other writing (especially the 2nd and 3rd books). And good point about waiting to watch it!! 3y
