But no, I waited on this. The story that this woman can put in 111 pages. It‘s sweet, it‘s uplifting, it‘s happy, it‘s fascinating. Let the adjectives continue. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one was a good retelling. I‘m not an Aladdin fan, but I liked the enemies to lovers aspect. I just got annoyed by the FMC & I wanted a tiny more spice.

The curse was that she may never look upon his face. Well she did which caused him to be lost. She journeyed to rescue him through many a trial to win him back. A fantastic retelling of Sleeping Beauty. A reverse where the princess is evil and the fairy is good. I love T. Kingfisher‘s books and this novella didn‘t disappoint.

Book 8/100 of the year.

I swear I keep meaning to get better about posting reviews lol! This is the most recent of the books I‘ve read so far this year (just finished it before work this morning). I give this one a solid five stars—first of the year!!

This was an interesting beauty and the beast retelling. Pretty classic in terms of the beats but a few key differences - the beauty is not that beautiful for example. I enjoyed this.
