Stunning illustrations. This story is about the rain and if the sun will ever come back to shine down again. Nice short words throughout for the littles to read and just a beautiful book all around.

Update for accountability purposes.
I ended up starting my journey a bit earlier than planned and knocked 7 books off the list of physical books I have either won in giveaways or gotten in book swaps!!!
I am super proud of this progress and cannot wait to knock more off the list!!! I am still using my spreadsheet and emojis to help decide what is next!!
Thank you all for the support, it is very much appreciated!!!💙💙💙💙
I am making this post for accountability purposes.
I recently discovered I have 50+ physical books I have won in giveaways or gotten in book swaps, but have not read. I decided this summer to read as many as I can.
I put them into a spreadsheet, they have all been assigned a number & have all been assigned an emoji.
I am excited about the variety of books on this list & hope to knock a lot off my TBR!
Wish me luck - I may need it, 😁! 💙💙💙

Chrissy, thank you!!! Such a delightful Spring surprise! What a cute dish cloth - I‘ve never seen a design like that! We love the bunny, as you can see! (And I love Bunnies by the Bay! I still have a blanket my mom put together for me) I am excited to try the coffee, especially since you love it! And we are so happy to have more books! Jamberry is so much fun!

3 ⭐ I don‘t like that the illustrator does not get recognition on the cover. This book is too easy of a book for the illustrator not to get name recognition on the cover. You have various animals trying to get their child to say data and the animals respond with the sound you expect them to. That is it. The concept is cute, but by no means is this genius. The real credit in this book is the illustrator who makes this book worth reading.
“the animals had taken them and each one was thinking, ‘Now I am wearing a magnificent hat!”
I would use this in my classroom to talk about foreshadowing, because on each page there are two windows which show other actions occurring throughout the story that can help you predict what‘s going to happen.
