Big Problems, Little Problems | Ben Feller

Anyone else having Litsy and/or Library Thing Problems.

Lately I have problems everytime I am on, which is why I am not on. I use it mostly from my desktop when I am loading reviews. But even getting tags or comments has not been working correctly in months.

Just me? Oh and the system crashes anytime I try to add an image.

mrp27 I use my iPad/iphone and occasionally over the past few months I have had problems tagging people but it rights itself out. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6mo

julesG Yes, off and on. Agree with @TheBookHippie, yesterday was a very off day. Crashing when adding pictures, can't tag people, takes ages to load or tells me my Internet connection failed (which was fine). The website version takes ages to load too. 6mo

Librarybelle Periodically. I use the desktop to post book discussion questions, and sometimes it really lags. LibraryThing did work on it several weeks ago, and it improved for me, though it sometimes takes awhile to post on the desktop. I‘ve also seen lots of chatter about LibraryThing having issues. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6mo

LibrarianRyan @Librarybelle @julesG yep. The deal top makes it aside for me to load reviews so I hate that it‘s not maintained. And yes LT is having the same issues. I gave up trying early today and this is the first time I‘ve gotten the app to work either. 6mo

julesG The app hasn't had an update in years. Not sure it'll ever get one. And I'm afraid of the day when it's no longer working. Haven't used LT in ages, because of the problems. I would like to know what their plans for the future are. Are they going to update the app(s)? Maybe they need a different server connection, or new servers - either could explain the lags and connection problems. 5mo

LibrarianRyan @julesG I agree. It feels like the app and LT are left over businesses and the owners have moved on. New things have appeared on LT but it‘s still lagging. And the remodel has been nice but still really not that different. 5mo

Picking this one for #Dad not just because of the title but because it was a favorite of my Dad‘s (& mine!) & he played the lead in community theater. Also, as you can see from his script in the middle of the pile (excuse the recycled photo), his name was Don, so another “Dynamic D” for this month‘s theme. 2026 will make 30 years since he passed away & I still miss him every day.💙

There is a "what radicalized you?" trend that hits social media every now and again. For me, it was just how I was raised. My #dad has always been my best history teacher and my political role model. The tagged book is among many he introduced me to. I couldn't find a good recent picture, so here's some of my favorite throwbacks.
