Mood is just not ready for yet another Monday & busy work week😵💫but I‘m glad to ease into it with this quiet hour.
I am what you might consider "chronically online," I live in the US, and frankly, I'm losing my ?. I need to relax, so I'm going to do #hyggehourreadathon on Mountain Time instead of my usually Eastern time zone. I have a Balsam & Cedar candle burning to bring a little of the outside in, I have a sleepy puppy just settled in for a nap, and a #sundaybuddyread read book to get started on.

I had my after dinner chores completed earlier than usual, so I was able to participate in the #hyggehourreadathon tonight. With my weighted blanket and Vladimir, I read a bit more of Jane Austen‘s teenage writings (the Jane Austen House is hosting a virtual discussion of this on Tuesday). So interesting to see her writing evolve!
Current candle burning is Yankee Candle‘s Sicilian Lemon. My mood is relaxed at the moment.

Thanksgiving to #foodandlit #Netherlands in January, I am thoroughly addicted to Stroopwsfels with coffee. This one is honey & vanilla bourbon. Hygge hour involved finishing HARD TIMES for #WhatTheDickens. Not the most relaxing of reads, but I had to see some beloved characters through to the end. What a reminder that life is full of hard times but that redemption and salvation is possible within ourselves and without a savior. Best part tonight? Taking a hygge break with Pip--who's better after her seizure this week. 🖤🐾🖤
