I went to write my review of book 17 for #BobWhiteBuddies & realized I never reviewed #16 last month. Book 16 is a favorite of mine, I liked the mystery (even though it was pretty easy to solve) & how everyone got involved with determining poor “Janey‘s” identity. And any time we get to visit with Mrs. Vanderpoel, I‘m happy & want her to make me cookies.🍪This book marks the end of my hardback Trixie books so a bit sad.

I really enjoyed this installment. I think my favorites are the ones where they are in Sleepyside. I can't remember if the solution to this one seemed as obvious to me when I was growing up as it did when I was reading it this time around. Also, I genuinely had in my mind that Jim's stepfather had died in the house fire of book 1?! But apparently I made that up completely 😂 Biggest issue was that the sister of the poor lady in Illinois is⬇

When a piece of local marshland starts getting developed, a long lost cousin of Jim‘s come out of the woodwork to claim the land. But she‘s not all she seems to be.

This one‘s fascinating! A lot of the book is everyone talking about trusting Trixie‘s instincts, but Trixie keeps doubting herself. I loved the kindness the group show here, lots of Dan, although Diana seems to have been left behind this time. & the ending was so satisfying!🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Spending tonight‘s #HyggeHour back with Trixie & the gang to finish the second half of Book 16 for #BobWhiteBuddies.

On my couch, drinking this flavored iced tea & enjoying a couple snack sized Take 5 bars I purloined from a dish at the board meeting last week.🍫🦹They are one of my favorite candy bars.

Mood is fine. I could use another weekend day but my workweek, while busy,should be at least a bit calmer.

Spending tonight‘s #HyggeHoyr with Trixie & the gang for #BobWhiteBudfies August. Drinking ice water & eating a few peanut butter & jelly M&Ms for my chocolate fix.

Mood is fine. Not at all excited that it‘s Monday already & I have 2 day trips to Hilo this week. 😬😵‍💫 The weekends go way too fast.
