Finishing his account of his childhood in Plains on the day of his funeral, it is clear that Carter had an unique understanding of work, race, land and humility that impacted his values. We lost a great one.
On this National Day of Mourning, I want to dedicate my post to my hero, Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter was someone that lived his life serving the world, knowing he didn‘t need a title to do good. His faith and works speaks volumes about the man he was, and his marriage to Rosalyn was one for the ages.
I‘ve been collecting his books, all signed, for years now, and they mean so much to me. Thank you President Carter for your service.
Beautiful service. 😢
First read of 2025. I thought it appropriate.
Happy New Year, Littens! 💕
R.I.P. Marvelous Human. We have so much to be grateful for- his legacy changed our world.
Jimmy Carter was a personal hero to me for the way he conducted his life after leaving office. In 2011, I had the honor of meeting him after one of his Sunday School lessons in Plains. I have more than a few books about him, but it will take a lot to capture his legacy. There hasn‘t been and probably won‘t be another public figure like him. And amazing life as our longest lived president.
