Progress is being made. I‘m making progress on the Clanlands Almanac, but I‘m not completely caught up yet. Poetry hasn‘t even been touched. I‘ve been totally absorbed in the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood lately.

Fun Fact: King John is the Great-Great-Grandfather of Richard II, where we started our little tour of Shakespeare‘s history plays. So I guess, in a way, we‘ve come full circle. It might be interesting to read the history plays in chronological order of the time periods they depict. We‘d still be left with some duds though.

Loved this. The 2nd in the trilogy of the life of William Marshall, this was vibrant, lush, moving … magnificent. Loved every second. What an extraordinary and fabulous life. Chadwick‘s writing, character building, and portrayal of historic events, personalities, and day-to-day life is incredible. 5/5

Decent historical fiction, but not for me.

Unlike me but I've read 649 pages and I'm bored... it's very formulaic and there's such an undercurrent of sexual assault.
