Twelfth and penultimate novel in Rohmer's series featuring supervillain Fu Manchu. This one involves a missile defense shield using sonic technology. The plot is a complicated tangle of deception, imposture, and double agents, and makes about as much sense as we have come to expect. Not especially good, but a step up from the last volume, and (finally!) a female character with motivations beyond the men in her life so I'll call it a so-so.

Massively busy day today at the library! Wow! Well, one thing I got accomplished is my #MLB display for the season's opening 😁. Tomorrow, I'll be adding a bat, mitt, baseball, some cards, stuff like that. That big sheet of paper in the upper-right corner is the rest of the week's schedule of games. #LitsyLovesLibraries
