I absolutely love this series! Book Two in His Dark Assassins combines a dark atmosphere with a hint of romance and redemption. Sybella returns home to carry out an assignment, but mislaid plans lead her to follow a different path. She‘s a handmaiden to Death, a trained assassin who uses Death‘s mark to guide her to slaying those who are dangerous.

LibrarianRyan Yeahhhh. This is on my TBr 4y

#BuzzwordBookathon Book 3 ✔️

I did myself a disservice by not rereading Book 1 in this series. Even though I read a summary, I had a hard time really getting into this story. When I continue with the series, I‘ll definitely start from the beginning again.

In the 3rd book of The Mortal Instruments series The City of Glass which could also be titled Guess Who Jace's Daddy Is, we head to the city of the Shadowhunters where its always safe and secure. At least it was until the demons attack and Valentine threatens everyone.
This book wrapped up a little too neatly for being the #MiddleofASeries I can't waite to see what happens in the next three.

LibrarianRyan Did you know originally it was the end of the series. The contract was for a trilogy but people wanted more. It‘s why in publication order the first book in the historical series was printed after this. 5y
HOTPock3tt “Guess who jace‘s daddy is” Lmao!! 🤣🤣🤣 5y
BookwormAHN @LibrarianRyan I didn't know that but it does explain the ending. 5y

Shusterman has done it again. Unwind ripped my heart out. It had me in tears and hopeful for a better future. This sequeal has brought so much more depth to the story but left me with a more happy heart which is amazing considering the death count.

Catching up on my reviews here on Litsy.

This is a once-you-start-you-can‘t-stop kind of book. Be prepared for a wild ride and some jaw-dropping moments. Some parts made me gasped so loudly that my 2yo asked me, what‘s wrong mommy!

Now, the agony of waiting for the final installment. I want to read more about Moag! I‘m already liking her crew!

I did not enjoy the first half of this book AT ALL, but the ending made it worth it. It manages to touch upon a lot, but the key themes include what it means to be brave, recognizing bullying, and changing cultural norms (like the culture in your school). #bbrc #teenangst #middleofaseries

Sarahreadstoomuch Third book I‘ve read for this challenge with “Brave” in the title. Is my subconscious trying to tell me something? 5y
LibrarianRyan I‘ve read others in this series but not this one. 5y
