4/5
What a sweet graphic novel about two friends who work at a pumpkin patch. I‘ve been wanting to read this after seeing Littens rave about it. Wish I read it in Fall, but no matter the season, this one can be read anytime and is super cute!!

What an extraordinary book! So many themes of love, loss and resilience, not to mention an intriguing mystery, all in one short book. An excellent piece of YA #ozfiction

It covers both #YANovelbyaPoC and #FinishinaDay for #booked2020. Can I use it for both? Also #teenangst #authenticvoice for #BBRC

SaturnDoo Nice😊 wtg knocking out some of those challenge prompts 👏👏👏 2w
Tamra I adore that cover! 2w
BarbaraTheBibliophage Oh, that‘s our one request. One book, one prompt. In most other things, we‘re pretty easy. Just not this one. Thanks. 🥰 2w

Tamra Weird and I don‘t get why publishers change titles. In Libby the book is titled, The Things She‘s Seen. Far less attractive cover too. (edited) 2w
CarolynM @Tamra I agree, I don't get the different covers in different markets. Changing titles can be really confusing, but I suppose it might be necessary where an expression might have a quite different meaning in different countries. 2w
Cinfhen Book sounds great 👍🏻 but what @BarbaraTheBibliophage ....sorry ☺️you can decided later on how you want to use the book 2w
LeeRHarry I really liked this one too! 😊 And like yourself read it in one day. (edited) 2w
CarolynM @LeeRHarry It was really hard to put down🙂 2w

Bloom | Kevin Panetta

Pickpick

Publisher First Second has been putting out some excellent LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 content, and Bloom is no exception.

Yes, Ari can be teen angsty and whiny at times, but I can really empathize with his situation. From an immigrant Greek family that can‘t afford to send him to college, Ari struggles to find his way post-high school graduation.

A sweet, slow-burn summer romance set in a MD 🏖 town that I highly recommend! Plus ALL the baked goods! 🧁🥖

LibrarianRyan The oddest thing, I got a notice on my phone that you posted this, but when I opened the app it does not show it, or on the desk top either in my activity list. @Litsy you might want to look into this blip. 2w
4thhouseontheleft @LibrarianRyan Hmm, that‘s weird. The Whole post, or just my comment with hashtags? The comment disappeared when I first posted it, but now I can see it again. 2w
LibrarianRyan @4thhouseontheleft Not exactly sure. I saw you post as I was scrolling, but when I received the block notification on my phone, I didn't open it right away and when I logged it in wasn't there. It still isn't there, but the most recent tag is. 2w
Cinfhen Weird stuff is happening on Litsy🤨I‘m showing in my notifications comments but when I go to the posts im actually not tagged @LibrarianRyan 🤷🏼‍♀️ 2w

Boys Don't Knit | T. S. Easton

Mehso-so

Finished my first book of the new year (Knit) and started the first LGBT book club read of the year (Carry On). Boys Don‘t Knit was a fairly light read and almost made me want to take up knitting myself. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed some of the humor — not laugh out loud, but I smiled. Going to file this one into some of my reading challenges too!

LibrarianRyan I agree. I liked this book. It wasn't excellent, but it was fun. There is a sequel about his sister called Girls Don't Fight I believe
3w
Shakespearience @LibrarianRyan there is also a sequel about him going to New York (a prize he won from the end of the book). Not sure I will read the sequels, didn‘t really capture my interest enough to continue necessarily. 3w
LibrarianRyan @Shakespearience Oh yeah. Forgot about that one. I had no desire to read the rest either. 3w
Cinfhen Yay for knocking off some prompt challenges 🧡 3w

This was a great audio read while driving home yesterday. I am by no means Mexican, but can see how people in her shoes could relate.

I knew nothing about this story let alone the series and I was so pleasantly surprised! What a fun YA fantasy novel full of knights, monsters and... rangers?! Rangers are like top secret agents/spies/ninjas and through Will, the MC who is an apprentice-in-training, you see the significant role these skilled men play. This book had everything I wanted - friendship, life lessons and of course, action!

Let It Snow: Three Holiday Stories | John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle
post image
Mehso-so

Three short stories set in the same town, with overlapping characters. The first one by Maureen Johnson was the strongest; I‘m surprised I liked John Green‘s the least.

I love that the cover matches ❄️❄️❄️ bookmark my grandmother made for me a few years ago!

Watching the Netflix movie later today!

Sharpeipup I just got this book from the library and plan to read then watch today too! 1mo
