squirrelbrain Quite a few! And I have a lot more out from the library…just in case! And, of course, I made my own spreadsheet from Booktubers predictions. 🤪 It‘s actually not as long as the GR list (some of these definitely *aren‘t* Booker books!) but it‘s still 70ish books. 1y
charl08 @squirrelbrain ooh a spreadsheet. I look forward to your predictions... 1y
ChaoticMissAdventures I have read 9, super disappointed to see Really Good Actually on here. I think it is my most disliked book of the year. Really cannot say a good thing about it 😂 1y

BarbaraBB @squirrelbrain That sounds interesting!! 1y
squirrelbrain @ChaoticMissAdventures - I‘ve read 26 😊, plus bailed on 3. I agree with you on Really Good Actually, although it‘s only my second most disliked book of the year; Pod is the bottom of my list. 1y
squirrelbrain @BarbaraBB - I‘ll send it to you if you like! 😁 @charl08 - I‘m sure the actual Booker list will be books that no-one has even considered! 🤣 1y
BarbaraBB I‘d love that Helen! @squirrelbrain 1y
Kitta Only read one! But there‘s a lot on my TBR and I‘ve been in a serious reading slump this year. 1y
charl08 @ChaoticMissAdventures worst of the year feels like quite an accolade. Maybe time for an alternative literary prize?!! 1y
charl08 @squirrelbrain I've nearly caved on Pod - I heard the author speak on the radio and she sounded so well-meaning... 1y
charl08 @BarbaraBB gotta love a spreadsheet. Are there charts, @squirrelbrain ? 1y
charl08 @Kitta oh no. Hope your slump is soon a thing of the past. 1y
ChaoticMissAdventures @squirrelbrain OMG Pod. I didn't get past page 50 so I forget about it! Definitely not for me. 1y
squirrelbrain No charts yet…but now you‘ve got me thinking! 🧐🤣 1y
Kitta @charl08 yes finally over it! But way behind on my yearly goal 😬 might have to change it 1y

An eclectic tbr is the only way I can read multiple books at once and keep them straight!

Ruthiella That‘s a good strategy! 👍 2y

This was a good read from the tv series of the same name. Always enjoyed Michael Palin‘s travelogue series. Definitely gave a good flavour of Brazil, although it was 10 years go, also gives a good flavour of the people‘s of Brazil and the problems the country needed to overcome. Read for #ReadingTheAmericas2023 for #Brazil

Librarybelle Glad you liked this one! 2y

Continuing with an audiobook non-fiction binge with this travelogue which I m reading for #Brazil for #ReadingTheAmericas2023 @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

Hoping to get to know this country better, and was surprised to find out it is three times the size of India.

After reading this I am hoping to catch the tv series this book is based on.

#readingtheamericas2023 ideas post 3

For the USA and Canada, I tried to find books set in the country's capital city state.
