Hear the Wind Sing | Haruki Murakami

"Lies are terrible things. One could say that the greatest sins afflicting modern society are the proliferation of lies and silence. We lie through our teeth, then swallow our tongues."---Haruki Murakami Hear The Wind Sing

30. International Jazz Day for #MayMontage

Most of Murakami's works have been influenced by music, most notably Classical and Jazz.
It's a widely known fact that music lover Murakami owned and ran a Jazz Bar in the 1970s.

Also checking in for last weekend's #20in4 #Readathon - which didn't add up to much timewise ⬇️

Yuki_Onna ... continued - My cold hindered me quite a bit from reading, I slept most of the time... 🤧😴
But I got a chunk of pages read of both of my current reads, so it went fine nevertheless.✌️

A Wild Sheep Chase: A Novel | Haruki Murakami

Pickpick

Another Murakami which puzzled me and yet kept me engrossed in a weird little tale of a man with an ear fetish and his girlfriend with a magical ear traversing the mountains in Japan to look for a sheep with a star on its back that may or may not be controlling the world & a friend named the Rat, on the bidding of a right-wing political giant‘s secretary. It was a strange ride alright, but the vibes were pretty good

A Wild Sheep Chase: A Novel | Haruki Murakami

A Wild Sheep Chase was my first Murakami listen. I had read Kafka On The Shore before and found that listening to Murakami was significantly better.

This book was quite hilarious. Some parts were a little ramble-y, as is Murakami‘s style. But overall, this book was very funny and entertaining.

The narrator, David, has done a fine job and brings the protagonist to life in all his disenchanted stupor. 😄
