Q: Is there a series you started out enjoying but just couldn‘t finish?
For me, it was the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. I loved them and thought they were a riot, but I got about midway, and I became exhausted and just couldn't finish all of them. The writing pattern was by then too well-known and created ennui for me.

TiredLibrarian Same. I think I got to about #16 and it just got old, old, old. 1y

CSeydel But yeah, it‘s funny how sometimes a series will just go cold, not because anything changed with the books, but just in your brain. Like when you put on perfume and after 30 minutes or so you don‘t smell it anymore. The receptors just go dark. 1y

Deblovestoread I quit these as well. Loved the laugh out loud moments but the joy eventually petered out. 1y

Graciouswarriorprincess I don‘t know that I like this year‘s. I try to match up the prompts with books in my TBR piles to downsize those piles and will have a hard time with this list doing that. 4y

Amandajoy I don‘t normally do their reading challenge, but I think I‘m going to do the advanced option this year. Need to whittle down the TBR. Not like that‘s ever really going to happen, but I‘ll take a shot at it. 4y

JamieArc I don‘t usually do reading challenges because I‘m such a mood reader and like to figure out on my own my reading priorities, but a lot of these prompts would cover books I‘ve been meaning to read, or are just really interesting. I might just give it a go this time! 4y

BarbaraBB I finished this year‘s challenge months ago because the prompts were easy or multi interpretabele. I really think the #pop21 prompts are better! 4y

eeclayton I've participated 3 times, including 2020, which I won't finish most probably, but I started out late (some time in April), and it won't bother me if I can't tick off each prompt. I'm not sure I want to jump in in 2021, although the advanced section does look exciting! 4y
