Hands down ended up the favorite of this series, so far. But I was so angry (confused?) at first. I didn‘t expect the dark twist (perhaps I should have?) and was so angry at Tamlin! But the city was a shock, and her growth was inspiring. And I must say Rhysand is a surprise. Of course blissful peace and growth eternal would be so boring 🤣 so there‘s the impending doom, war & conspiracy, too. #recentlyread #nospoilers #fantasy

Anger. Surrender. Bliss. Devastation. Triumph. All those emotions and more are encountered in this initial book of the series. I cried. I cheered. I groaned and winced. By the end I was rooting for Feyre with all my heart, and couldn‘t wait to dive into book 2. #recentlyread #nospoilers #fantasy

P.S. Thank you to a friend of mine for prompting me to move these up the TBR and crack open the box!

One day I will get better at posting timely reviews, but for now I can at least catch up a little bit. 🙃 This book unraveled like the threads of a tapestry. Slowly and intriguingly pulling the reader in until the final climactic end. I won‘t spoil anything, but I must say it was slightly…disappointing, in some ways. I don‘t know if I could choose another ending, but I do wish for better. Others may judge differently. #nospoilers #historicfiction

There haven‘t been too many books this year that have sucked me in and taken me for a ride, and I miss that feeling of not being able to turn the pages fast enough. 🥹🙃 Borrowed this from the library Friday, and before our trip to visit the family in NJ on Saturday (and during) finished it, cover to cover. Paranormal & Fae is just my ☕️. Onto number 2, ASAP! #recentlyread #paranormal #nospoilers #fastpaced

annahenke I‘ve always wondered about these books! 2y
aa_guer2021 @annahenke think someone exactly not the typical crime fighter suddenly seeks revenge and finds out there is more to her life than she has ever known, and also more to the world (in the paranormal sense) than she ever thought possible. If you like that kind of thing, it really sucks you in. 2y
annahenke @aa_guer2021 color me intrigued! 2y

The story continues from Wake. Same cast of characters, with a few more teachers mixed in. The school drama continues, but there is definitely ⚠️ for predatory behavior (vague to not give the plot away). I am thankful I had a couple of hours, because I literally read it that fast. Sucks you in, and you just hold on! #recentlyread #nospoilers #dreams #onesittingread #imagination #school #drama 😳

LibrarianRyan I love this series. 2y

This is YA, but with a bit of an intense subject matter. (School drama, drugs, ⚠️ for abuse) It requires some suspension of belief, because dreams and the like. But it‘s a slow burn of a book, by the end I was flipping pages as fast I could, waiting to get to the end. Also, I am very glad I also had book 2! #recentlyread #nospoilers #scifi #dreams #fastpaced #imagination 😳🙂😃🤔

LibrarianRyan I agree. I love this series. 2y
aa_guer2021 @LibrarianRyan such a find. Both were $3! 2y
LibrarianRyan now about the only way to find them is in a big compilations book Don't close your eyes. I like that these books are relatively small, but when all 3 are bound together it becomes a behemoth that turns away some people. 2y

2021 ended with this 💎! Character development, the excitement of the chase, difficult decisions and punchy dialogue reminds me how much I enjoy this series, despite the reputation of the author. Detective work and drama on a finer level, for the pleasure of this #bookworm. #recentlyread #nospoilers ❤️📚

Classic #romance novel. Angst, passion, doubt and the power of second chances. Since a wedding and a honeymoon are involved, it made me remember the anxiety and the relief associated with mine. And although the loose ends got tied up really neatly, I still feel like there was a lesson in this story. #bookspin BINGO progress for July. #recentlyread #nospoilers @TheAromaofBooks ❤️🐴

👋🏻 Still here, still reading. Amid the 📦. 🙃🎉 A magical moving circus 🎪 full of black and white tents, a competition and a love story, all rolled into one. Intrigue and romance, adventure and interesting storytelling. And yet, amid all of this, although interesting, I wasn‘t 💯% there. 🤔 And I used to love the fantasy genre… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Still, glad I gave it a shot. #recentlyread #nospoilers #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks This is one I enjoyed better the second time I read it - I liked the story better when I knew where it was headed! 3y
