Sorry this is late getting posted, but I received my #HHS package in the mail on Friday! I was on my way camping for the Thanksgiving weekend when I picked it up and had *zero* service the entire time. No matter where I walked and how high in the air I held my phone, no dice. Lol
I think it is from @ShelleyBooksie but I didn't see a Litsy handle on the box. I was scared to open in case it wasn't wrapped. @wanderinglynn #HHS23

wanderinglynn Yay! 🎃👻🧡 6mo

Mehso-so

3 ⭐X in the alpha tails gives us an x-ray fish. One who not only can see with x-rays and see-through items, but also has a see-through body. This book does what it set up to do, which is to give a story highly focused on the letter X. This may be scraping the bottom of a very old bucket but in need of a X book this one will do.

It‘s time for another round of #LMPBC! I‘ve signed up for some thrillers (Group N), and also hope some of you will join me in reading some biographies/autobiographies/memoirs (Group S). This is such a fun way to enjoy books. I hope you‘ll join us!

Pickpick

4 🌟 I was greatly surprised how much I liked this book. Most easy readers are meant to practice reading, and don‘t really look at telling a good story. That is not the case here. This is a rebus reader (meaning some of the words are replaced by pictures). It rhymes, and has a fully flushed cadence that never skips a beat. The illustrations feel like they are from 2000, but it doesn‘t matter, the story does not age (only the book cover).

Another stop at a bookstore while out running some errands. Picked up a few books for myself, a book for little girl and a learn to read set for little guy. We have the Pete the Cat step into reading set for our little guy and he loves them but I feel it is more memorization at this point since he has read them so much. Figured another set couldn't hurt.
