As I impatiently wait for another season of Queer Eye, I devour more memoirs. This one is excellent. Most shocking are the stories of racial discrimination Tan faced as a kid. Listened to the audio which he narrates and is 😻.

I ordered this cute little book on eBay all the way from Australia. It took a long time to reach me but #JVN is always worth the wait! But this is so corny. It‘s just a bunch of JVN quotes, mostly from #QueerEye, that may or may not have any significance. An example from an entire page... “Pomade, pomade, pomade!” 🥴

Yestetday I started and finished listening to this heartbreaking and uplifting memoir by JVN. I love Queer Eye even though I cry while watching every episode. The Fab 5 are wonderful individuals who do so much for others. JVN is open and honest about his struggles, accomplishments, and aspirations in this memoir. As a huge fan of Queer Eye, I was extremely thrilled when I heard that Tan was publishing a book. He has such a quirky fun attitude on the show, and I‘m glad to see that sassy quirkiness has come through in the audiobook in all the ways I had hoped. I‘ve been doing quite a bit of #audiocrocheting this past week, so I‘m finishing up book 11 in the #WingsOfFire series. It‘s soooo good! I‘ve also gotten quite a bit of walking in. The weather this week wasn‘t good for outside walking, so I‘ve been walking all over the house trying to stay active. A few days I just turned #QueerEye on and paced in the living room (love it). We had heat advisory warnings most of thee week. #BFC

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5! I thoroughly enjoyed this memoir! Tan‘s voice is amazing and the book is light hearted and fun while touching on some more serious aspects of his life. I feel like it didn‘t go as “deep” as Karamo‘s memoir, but that doesn‘t mean it‘s any less substantial. I actually kinda enjoyed this book a bit more! #audiobook #queereye #litsyAtoZ

3.75 stars. I love every member of the Fab 5, so I went in knowing I‘d enjoy this book. There were some parts of Karamo‘s story that seemed glossed over and self-serving, but all in all it was an informative memoir about his life growing up, his career, and his experience becoming a father. #audiobook #queereye

My third novel Frankenstein and my fourth play Top Girls for the exam. Hopefully it‘s better than Mrs Dalloway 😑.
