#nonfiction2019 #somethingwithpictures the pictures in this book were stunning!! This book is a bit of everything: memoir, recipes, and southern lifestyle guide! I liked the memoir bits a lot! The lifestyle advice felt a bit superficial/aristocratic, but Reese is so genuine, caring, gives back, so she can pull this off in a sweet way. This is a lovely warm and friendly ode to the south! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Like Humans of New York, Cirlos set out to share the stories of San Antonio‘s citizens through photos and statements. My husband and I both read (seems weird to say for mostly pictures) this book. We liked it, but agreed that we wish there had been stories or statements on every photo. #Nonfiction2019 #somethingwithpictures
This book was so good! I could‘ve easily chosen it for something uplifting. He transformed an unfortunately common childhood as the child of an addict who was raised by his grandparents to this cathartic, relatable piece of art. 5⭐️
