I'm currently really struggling to read, but I found listening to this very interesting book did help somewhat to get me out of my slump.

This was really so informative and fascinating. I didn't realise how easy our eating habits are influenced by our environment. I truly believed myself above this, but was so shocked at how many things I thought was my choice only to realise that it was really the things around me.

After finishing the Mortal Instruments earlier this year, I decided to continue with the Shadowhunter books. But realised I didn't read these 4 short stories yet. So I worked these short stories in, between my reading so that I can start The Eldest Cures next.

I enjoyed most of the stories in this compilation.

Although this book stated off a little slow, it turned out to be a fantastically creepy book. I loved the ending. Adelaide, with her steamer trunk, sets out to forge a new life for herself in Montana as a homesteader. She meets some new friends, makes some enemies and there is a monster.
I need to read more from LaValle 🖤

squirrelbrain I‘m listening to this on audio, although pausing for a while to listen to some library holds. I‘ve only got to when she arrives at the homestead, but enjoying it so far. 9mo
SamAnne Oh! I've been trying so hard to get to this one! 9mo

I've lost count of how many times I've read this because I've been rereading this since before I started keeping track but the dynamic between Min and Cal always get me. They have this great back n forth dynamic, each having their moments together, some highlighting their flaws and others in acceptance as they keep coming together time and time again and I can't help but fall for it every time.

Clwojick I have this on my self! Maybe I should read it soon! 9mo

I've said it before and I'm sticking to it: I'm over Jack & Jill.
I feel their story was told and that we can move on.
And I really don't see the relevance of this story.

However it did answer one question I've had ever since the start of the series - can people travel both ways? Like can people who live in the Moors find a door to our world?

4½✨

I was really surprised at how much I loved this book. Especially considering that it's a genre I usually avoid, and not something I would have ever brought for myself. But my mother-in-law (not a reader) heard everyone talking about the books and decided to get me the first 3 for my birthday.

Let's just say I am very grateful to her at this moment. This is such a touching, raw story. Told in such a compelling way.

rubyslippersreads I‘ve been wanting to read these since @Andrew65 recommended them. 12mo
TheSpineView Awesome! 12mo
Andrew65 @rubyslippersreads I‘m always recommending this series. Following the author‘s sad death the book is written with or by her son. Be interested to see how that one reads. 12mo
Clwojick I‘ve never heard of it, but the cover would have me grabbing it if I saw it at the thrift store. 😍 12mo
Andrew65 @Clwojick You must read the series. Excellent books. 12mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @Andrew65 I've seen you recommend it, but I thought the historical romance part really wasn't for me. Now I know better 12mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @jdiehr I've already added it to my wishlist 😁 even though I still have 6 to go before I can get to it 12mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @rubyslippersreads @Clwojick Will definitely recommend you to try it! 12mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @Andrew65 I read that she told him how Pa Salt's story should go, but I'm also wondering if it will read as easily as this one did. 12mo
Andrew65 @Enchanted_Bibliophile So sad she didn‘t get to write it 😢 12mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @Andrew65 Very sad indeed 😢 I have a feeling it will be the most important book of the series 12mo

4½✨

I read this book in 2016 for the first time and fell in love with everything about it. But then I had to wait for the second one and somehow never got around to reading it.
So I picked up Wayfarer, but was so totally confused with the events happening that I had to come back to this one for a quick update.

I thoroughly enjoyed this re-read and the first chapter of Wayfarer already has me wanting to know just what exactly is going on.

Enchanted_Bibliophile Somehow I was convinced one of the main characters passed away 🤷🏼‍♀️ So imagine my surprise when I opened the next book to find them alive and well 🫤 12mo

I quite enjoyed my first encounter with Robert Langdon. I always find books like this fascinating, intertwining fact and fiction with such a fine line it's almost believable.
