I have really enjoyed the crop of Pride & Prejudice retellings from different cultural settings/perspectives out lately & this one might be my new favorite. Loved the characters & the glimpse into a modern-day suburban Toronto Muslim community setting. Keeps to the spirit of the original but has its own clear voice. 👍👍📚
This is one of quite a few books I have on the battle of Gettysburg. It was a pivotal battle during the American Civil War. It was visiting these hallowed grounds as a kid with my dad that gave me my thirst for history. It probably helps too that I work in the town, so I‘m immersed in everything history every day. #TheBattle #SoaringScores
