1) My most active current reads are: #ayeshaatlast, #theglasshotel, and #thestarlesssea.
2) I struggle with favorites but still say #tokillamockingbird, which I've loved for sixteen years and which is where my handle comes from.
3) @bookpeople and #andersonsbookshop
4) I don't do a lot of rereading, but I've been revisiting my favorite parts of #redwhiteandroyalblue a lot lately.
5) Perhaps #theperksofbeingawallflower
#quarantinereadschallenge

thestarlesscasea 6) 'Tis an endless list.
7) Probably #harrypotter
8) #thebookthief
9) Make more time for reading, put less pressure on myself to finish books quickly, read more books that I'm super excited to read, fully fall into the world of a book more often.
10) In a coffeeshop with a lot of wood and windows, or outside surrounded by trees or by a body of water.
11) SO MANY, but I'll go with #charlieanderson.

thestarlesscasea Thank you @Lesanne for the tag, this was a fun distraction and a useful chance to reflect! I'll tag @Eyelit & @Soubhiville & @Ishimama ♥️📚 5y
Ishimama I‘m so bad at litsy. Do I respond here or my own page? 5y

thestarlesscasea @Ishimama You can make your own post and show off your litsy goodness! But no pressure, I never want to chain mail force people into these things 😅♥️ 5y
Ishimama I‘m into it!! I‘m just Litsy challenged, lol 5y
kspenmoll Oh I love your handle! I have been co-teaching TKAM for years now & it never gets old. This year we paired it with Just Mercy & saw both movies. #10 coffee shop & body of water❤️ 5y
thestarlesscasea @kspenmoll Yesssss the movie is so great too. I'll have to add Just Mercy to my TBR! ♥️ 5y

We all are, or have once been wallflowers. The shy creatures of the universe, strangled in a problematic world where everything is so confusing and hard.

It is an emotional, but very realistic story, about one kid, and all the things he learns while growing up. By learning things the hard way, by listening, by watching things happen to his friends and family, by just being a wallflower.

"...and no one ever says good-bye unless they want to see you again." - John Green

I've never read TFIOS, and probably never will (I sometimes staunchly oppose reading super popular books ?‍♀️), but Looking for Alaska holds a bit of my soul, so I gave TATWD a shot. Glad I did. Before I knew it, I was down to the last page and half and had tears in my eyes. If you appreciate LFA or The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I recommend TATWD. ???

I read this book when I was 15 years old, which was right around the time it was published (1999). At the time, I probably only chose to read it because it was published by MTV, lol. Regardless, I ended up loving it and thinking it was my generation‘s Catcher in the Rye. I‘ve not seen the film, nor have I re-read the book since, but I‘m thinking next year I will re-read for the 20th anniversary.

BiblioLitten Even I thought it was this generation's Catcher in the Rye. I really liked the movie too. 😊 7y
CarolynM This is one of the rare times when I prefer the movie. I liked the book, but I really loved the way the movie fleshed out Charlie's friends 7y
OrangeMooseReads I read this for the first time right around then as well and loved it. I saw and still do see many Catcher parallels. I hated the movie and shut it off after 30 ish minutes. 7y

'Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anybody.'
Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I don't think I can truly convey how much I loved this book other than to say it was a life changing experience for me. It felt so good to read. It's one of those books where you really want to finish it, but at the same time you really don't want to finish it, because then it'll be over.
