The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek | Kim Michele Richardson
post image
Pickpick

I read this in 2 days, so clearly I enjoyed it!

Parts of the story were predictable, but that didn't diminish the charm of Richardson's novel. It beautifully portrayed the power of books, and served as a reminder to take nothing in life for granted. 4/5 ⭐

What are you reading this #Thanksgiving week? I'm halfway through and totally engrossed by #TheDeathandLifeoftheGreatLakes. #Nature is a powerful and awesome beast. Highly #recommend.

And I just began #TheBookWomanofTroublesomeCreek. Yes, I decidedly picked Richardson's tale over Moyes' #TheGiverofStars after hearing all the controversy. Who knows what really went down, but I know I'd rather support a fellow #Kentuckian at the end of the day.

January 19, 2019. This was the day I placed my audio book hold to listen to Michelle Obama talk to me for 20 hours about her life. Waiting 10 months for it was SO WORTH IT! Listening to her made the words come alive and I felt everything she was saying. I learned so much about her, her family and even some fun facts about the White House. She is such a strong woman who really cares about the people and future of this country. #recommend

Oh my gosh, I enjoyed this book as much as Son Of A Trickster. Eden Robinson is a master at quirky, witty, and the supernatural. #readthenorth #recommend #EdenRobinson

Seeing enough recommendations on Litsy I figured I'd give this a go! It wasn't what I expected, but it didn't disappoint. Fast paced and kept your mind guessing what was going to happen next. Anyone looking for a super quick read, I've got a book to lend you! #serialkiller #nottooscary #funread #femaleauthor #recommend

Not in the Litsy database, this #audible original is a very practical, motivational memoir, especially for the 13-22 year old set. She has amazing presence, & I‘d #recommend for adults, too.

Molly is a blind YouTuber & motivational speaker. In this short #audiobook she addresses typical struggles blind people face, getting through mental illness/bullying, building her own business, & the joy of realizing many dreams at just 25.

Clwojick How did I not know this was a thing? Molly is adorable. I‘ve seen her collabs on YouTube. 5mo
Megabooks @Clwojick I think it was one of the free ones this month if you‘re a subscriber. Maybe you can sneak in under the wire! 5mo

Good morning from KY! Sunrise from the small courtyard facing south.

Just finished up this #audiobook while I was watching the sunrise. It‘s so hard to explain all the myriad of species and situations (from blue-ringed octopus to popular diabetes meds from lizard venom) included! The author did a very comprehensive job in a short space. Highly #recommend. 4.5⭐️

This has been on my shelf for a long time and I regret not reading it sooner. This is a true account from the POV from the author who was on the team that hiked up Mount Everest in 1996 which ended up being the most deadly. It is absolutely astounding what humans are willing to put themselves through for thrill seeking but also, what the body can actually withstand. One person survived outside with no shelter in a gale with -100F temp!🥶#recommend
