#Top22of2022

I have loved seeing everyone‘s list of their favorite books of the year. I screenshotted (is that a word?) several and compiled a list from that and other best of lists with different #. These 6 were the ones most frequently mentioned with 12 more getting a few nods each added and another 21 that I can‘t wait to read. TBR explosion! 💥

TrishB I hoped someone would do that 👍🏻 I‘ve read all these! (edited) 1y
Deblovestoread @TrishB. I will post my list of the 12 runners up tomorrow. Can‘t have my TBR be the only one exploding. 😂 1y
Cinfhen Cool idea, thanks 😎 ive read 5/6 and I‘m going to be reading Babel….I can‘t wait for the runnerups too @TrishB 1y

TrishB Look forward to the additional list! @Cinfhen 1y
Deblovestoread @TrishB @Cinfhen As I was lying awake with insomnia last night it occurred to me my list should have a disclaimer. My lists are books I haven‘t read only as I didn‘t intend to post it when compiling it. So it‘s not a complete picture of everyone‘s best of….sorry! 1y
Cinfhen Ahhhh, it‘s still a great idea🤓 1y

Happy New Year everyone!

How exciting that it‘s time for the first #weeklyforecast of 2023; it means that I can make a start on all those challenges!

Wild Coast covers 3 countries for #readingtheamericas23, and I‘m sure I can find prompts for the other books - hopefully #doubledipping across a few challenges.

I‘m LOVING Violin so far @MicheleinPhilly ;it would probably have made my #top22of2022 had I read it last year.

batsy I just started The Violin Conspiracy today! It's off to a promising start. 1y

This was tough…I added and removed books so many times. The top two rows are my top favorites, Top 10 listed in order. Meaning my top book of the year is Lost & Found and The Marriage Portrait my best fiction title.

I put together my #Top22of2022 list last night, but if I remade the graphic today, it may be different! You know how it is. I don‘t the top line would change, though. Those are my top 3 (in no particular order) in fiction and nonfiction. I cheated a little and used both Annie Ernaux books I read as one choice, as I absolutely could not choose between them!

squirrelbrain Great list! really need to get to The Change, as so many Littens have loved it. 1y
wanderinglynn Fantastic! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 1y
Hooked_on_books @Megabooks I actually avoided it initially, but I like to read the NBA lists. This was on it and I‘m really glad it was, as it‘s absolutely superb. I think you‘ll really appreciate it. 1y
Cinfhen Happy NewYear 🎊♥️awesome list!!! I‘ve taken notes as well 😄 1y

A book I didn‘t know I needed … Meet Gilda: she‘s 28, she‘s an atheist, she‘s queer, she suffers from debilitating anxiety and she works as a church secretary on the sly. Gilda is the new Eleanor Oliphant. A quirky, poignant, insightful sometimes hilarious look at one young woman‘s struggle with mental illness in a real and honest manner. Fantastic debut~ excellent narration. Definitely making my #NewYearWhoDisList 😆

Cinfhen @KarenUK @britt_brooke I‘m pretty sure you‘d both enjoy this one ♥️ 2y
jlhammar One of my favorites from last year! Glad you enjoyed it. 2y
TrishB Great review 👍🏻 I was just so-so with this one. 2y

Cinfhen It may potentially make my #Top22of2022 @TrishB @squirrelbrain @jlhammar I really enjoyed it 2y
KarenUK 😂😂😂it‘s owned but not read yet! You get me! 😍 2y
KarenUK Now I‘ll read it quicker! 2y
britt_brooke @Cinfhen You‘re right! 🤗 I read it last summer and loved it! So happy you did, too. 💚 2y
Megabooks Interesting comparison to Eleanor! This was a #GoodNotGreat for me, but I loved the narration! 2y
