Mehso-so

Finished this on the train back from a long weekend last week in Manchester Christmas 🎄 markets. disappointed with this one to be honest ; I adored outlander and ordered this from the library (thankfully didn‘t buy it ) after synop compared it to outlander. Dual time lines I love & usually I prefer the historical plotline but this never got going for me & I preferred the modern storyline. It was OK read & slightly dull for me

Inspired by the 7 tornados that struck Grand Island, NE, in 1980.

Soft pick. This summer camp story is Obviously Teaching You Things About The Deaf World, but is otherwise well done and engaging. Content notes for ableism and police brutality.

My #DoubleSpin for September.

I‘m glad I‘ve started reading this author. Another pick! Lovable, real, flawed characters and a wonderful setting. I enjoyed how well the story switched between present and past. I agree with another reader that asked for Charlie‘s story.

Based on a devastating tornado that killed over 450 people in 1936. It‘s set in the town of Tupelo where I work.

Amazing. I was a week late in getting this one read for my twister podcast episode and that makes me so incredibly sad. This book was fantastic! One of my 2024 favorites for sure.

⭐2 People clean and get ready for spring after all it‘s called spring cleaning. The clouds also must make ready for plenty of rain and water to bring on the growing season. This book was fine, but I found it more annoying than anything. I‘m not sure if it‘s too chipper or just the mood I‘m in. It was fine but just fine.

I feel as though you‘d have to be about 64% more weather-nerdy than I am to fully and truly appreciate the book in its entirety. Still: wow! There was some big tension and a lot of detail that made me extra-super happy that my biggest weather woes in Maine typically involve snow and ice, both of which are kittens compared to the weather events described here. Respectful and interesting story of smart people taking risks for science. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

CaitlinR Sound fascinating. Thanks for the review! 6mo

Middle grade book with an outdoor adventure.
This Trilogy is a great example of outdoor adventure, storm stories, and other hard-hitting topics.

Karisimo Looks like a fun trilogy! Thanks for sharing! 6mo
