Can‘t explain why, but I love this author! This one wasn‘t quite as obnoxiously gruesome as some of the others.

Pretty sure this is my favorite of the Kate Burkholder series so far. This is the seventh full-length novel. What I liked most about this one is: we get a deeper glimpse into Chief Kate and Special Agent John Tomasetti‘s life together. We learn firsthand thru this story that their jobs are so full of risk. I felt deeply for them, for the turn their life takes. I really enjoyed the murder investigation too. Very well done by Mrs Castillo!

#7 in the series.
After a tornadoes storm rips through Painter's Mill, a skeleton of a Male is found. Now Kate Burkholder needs to figure who it is, being 30yr old bones. Also
Kate finds herself pregnant with Tomasetti's child.
Loads happening in this books.
I love it with all the other six, and more to come.

Trying to get a little reading in before a client this afternoon. I can‘t seem to get into anything so I‘m hoping Kate Burkholder will help!

Shakespeare, everything goes back to Shakespeare!! “She‘s Swartzentruber;he was Mennonite. A relationship would have been a source of conflict for both of them and their families.”

Took a bit of a break from this mystery series with an Amish flair, but that means that I have more to read back-to-back! #BookBinge

This was a return to better form for this series. Painters Mill Chief of Police, Kate Burkholder investigates when a skeleton is revealed in the aftermath of a tornado. Plus her relationship with Tomasetti hits a snag. Rating: 4/5

#7 in the Kate Burkholder series. There were a couple of inconsistencies in this one but overall I enjoyed it. I always like the regular characters, even Kate who puts herself in danger way too often. I also just really like the setting and the Amish story lines. 3.5⭐️

Not my favorite LC book, it was slow to start, but she builds characters worthy of our attention in this series, and I love the Amish story lines.
