The book was good but the ending was like the author just ran out of ideas. Disappointing

I loved the movies and had no idea they were even based on books. Looks like I need to read them now!

I've been looking forward to reading this book since I bought it in 2017 and STILL haven't got round to it, but it does fit today's #haunted prompt perfectly- Monstrous Monday!

I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it. Some will be old, some will be new - don't judge me, I have a lot of books.

Day 103th

Join the fun if you want!

Mehso-so

2⭐️ A rather morbid graphic novel, retelling the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. It‘s interesting, but I didn‘t like it. And why are there so many drawings of naked women? Boobs galore there 🥴

Dilara I didn't expect that from Dino Buzzati 3y
sisilia @Dilara Have you read his other works? This was my first 3y
Dilara @sisilia I studied The K - a short story collection - at school, aged 14-15. And I read The Tartar Steppe - a wonderful novel with kafkaian undertones, in 2014. They were both absolutely boob- and smut-free, as far as I remember! 3y
sisilia @dilara Hahahaha glad to hear 😆 I will check them out; another chance for Buzzati 3y

What is not to enjoy? A retelling of the twelve dancing princesses set in medieval Romania. Rich with eastern European folklore and early Christian superstitions. And a curse broken by a peasant herbalist. Love ❤️❤️❤️. #FairyTaleReadingChallenge @Charityann
