A great ending to this paranormal trilogy. Epic and heartwarming. Bebe really is the best! 5⭐️

A very fun second book in this paranormal series. There is some romance, but no HEA yet so I label this as a paranormal first. I love the characters and look forward to reading the next book. This does end on a cliffhanger but all three books are out so you don‘t have to wait. 4.5⭐️
This was a fantastic wrap up to the series, although it came a lot sooner than I thought it would! Cin learns so much, and grows a great deal as a character, and most of the minor characters are strongly drawn and as vibrant as she is. Ofc there‘s a HEA, but getting there is a TRIP, and there‘s enough action and derring do to satisfy just about anyone. And of course, there‘s Havoc…😏 A quick read, but a good one.
I am only 100 pages in but Bryce‘s father is this close to catching these hands. The sheer amount of nonsense she and Ruhn put up with from him… if I were them, he‘d already be ashes scattered into the sewers. 🤬
Perfect between EPIC reads! Great narration, It gives the MC a certain gravitas.
Charlie‘s a witch & inherited a bar frequented by shifters, vampires & humans! All‘s good as long as there‘s no trouble.
1 day this quirky small town wakes to find an evil vampire infestation. Townsfolk are disappearing & attacking neighbors. A new restaurant pops up across from Charlie‘s bar & the handsome vampire owner wants to be her white knight.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
This book was better than the first through the plot but the build up and rollercoaster effect never really happened. That is why I give it a 4 ⭐. Personally, at times Bryce was acting like the main character from TOG and I didn't like that, did not fit into her persona and story. However, I am liking the plot twist at the very end, it makes me look forward to the third book.
Interesting urban fantasy, will probably read more at some point.

This is a banger of a sequel — everything I wanted with a lot of extra goodies, too! Cin continues to be the heroine I can get behind, kicking ass and not even bothering to take names, and Bebe is still the best sidekick of ever. Possibly playing it a little fast and loose with the Norse pantheon, but it‘s a cracking good story, and ends in another unreal cliffhanger. Now to wait (im)patiently for October!
The second InCryptid book was just as fun as the first. McGuire populates her urban fantasy with memorable, entertaining characters—take Istas who walks around asking “if there will be carnage,” for example—and sets them in a world where dragons, talking mice (who happen to really like cake), & other such creatures hide & thrive amongst humans…until the Covenant of St. George shows up to purge them. Humorous with a good dash of danger & mayhem.
