I have always wished that Anne would be my #fictionalbestfriend. I've read a lot of amazing characters, but something about her earnestness and compassion makes me feel like I want to be a friend to her and that she would help me be a better person. Earnestness can often be annoying in person, I know, but it's also a quality I really value. #uncannyoctober #latepost

mcipher She's so happy and uncomplicated and kind!! Who doesn't love Anne?! 6y
Natasha.C.Barnes @mcipher Plus, she loves poetry and adventures. 6y
mcipher Yes!! And she makes everything fun and interesting. ❤️ 6y

I loved reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn as a teen. Francie reminds me so much of myself that I know we‘d be the best of friends. #YourFictionalBestFriend #MyFictionalBestFriend #UncannyOctober

AmyG I love the book AND the movie. 6y

Kami Glass is considered a weirdo in her town because she had an imaginary friend who she's always heard in her mind. Her best friend, Angela Montgomery doesn't care what others think. Their humor & relationship reminded me of my relationship with my best friend. So of course I had to give her these books. #uncannyoctober #yourfictionalbestfriend

#yourfictionalbestfriend This would have to be Myron Bolitar, his the person I'd call on when I was in trouble & I know he'd be there and be backing me until he'd helped solve my problem - and even better he'd bring Win along (Win just has to be one of the best characters in fiction). If you haven't read the Myron Bolitar Series by Harlan Coben, what are you waiting for. This is one of my favourite all time series and has the ability to make me 😂

Consider any of these Bad-Ass Women of History to be #yourfictionalbestfriend for #UncannyOctober @reallifereading. http://offtheshelf.com/2017/10/12-historical-novels-inspired-real-life-bad-ass-w... Super list put together for Off the Shelf by our fellow litten @theladygreer. She knows something about bad-ass women, as the author of tagged book about Kate Warne, first female Pinkerton detective. #badasswomen

lynneamch Just learned about another #badasswomen candidate in #Nashville yesterday: Ella Mae Wiggins, instrumental leader of the 1929 textlle workers strike in Gastonia, North Carolina, inspired Wiley Cash to write 6y
lynneamch Also fit for #badasseomen is Margaret Fishbach, copy editor for Macy's in 1936, who became an advertisimg genius, inspiring Kathleen Rooney to pour through hundreds of archives to create her story in 6y
