I read these books in middle school, and reread them for a young adult literature course in college. I love this series. The characters are excellent, the humor is delightful, and the high-tech, magical world Colfer has built is highly imaginative and governed by strict rules. Colfer is excellent with exciting plot twists as well. #magic #fairies #antihero #thief #technology

LibrarianRyan Me. Too. I am a little worried about the movie as it keeps getting pushed back. I believe it's at Feb right now. 2d
Kenyazero @LibrarianRyan I forgot there was going to be a movie! I'd say I'd rather have them push it off and make it excellent than push it out too quickly and have something worse than movies based on books can be. I'm excited to see it either way. 2d

Day 9 - #Corrupt #QuotsyDec19

I fought corruption in my home town and got honest people on the council to run my borough. I was on council for 12 years and became the first woman President of the Borough of Perkasie.

AmyG Good for you! I am always happy to hear about good people wanting to make a difference. My husband was once Mayor of our town. We had a horrid mayor and nobody to run against him so my husband stepped up and won by 13 votes. 6d
EadieB @AmyG Thanks! I was a write-in candidate and got 180 write-in votes and beat the person on the ballot by 10 votes. 6d
AmyG Ha! 👊🏻 Proof that every vote counts! (edited) 6d

Not my cup of tea. With the exception of the very end, I didn't like these people at all. And the flashback chapters felt disjointed. Entertaining enough, but not a series I'll continue reading. #romantsy #kindleunlimited

MarriedtoMrT I loved this one but I couldn‘t tell you why. I knew it was pretty awful while I was reading but I could not stop. 9mo

I love Penelope Douglas but this was not to my personal taste. Some problematic issues with consent, and a bit too dark for me. Maybe just not my kind of kink? 🤷🏽‍♀️ #romantsy

I liked the book at the end but i was kind of frustrated reading it because it does a lot of then-and-now switch ups and changes of character perspective. I wish the author had let us know why everyone was so upset with Rika earlier but maybe I‘m just impatient. Another thing that i wasn‘t a super fan of was all the rapey scenes and how Michael was okay with them and rika just moved past it. That‘s just me though.

As someone who used to be a teenage girl who was angry and sad and cynical about both the injustices of the world and her own lot in life and believed she was smarter than the adults around her (and often truly was), I loved this.

Harley Quinn reminds me of Deadpool. She's mighty entertaining, but she's interesting WAY more often than she's admirable and I'd never, ever want to meet her. Like, at all.

This was my first proper comics outing with her, after years of hearing people gush, and I'd say it left me intrigued but not obsessed. I'll keep an eye out for more volumes to see if further exposure changes that. #caseyplusbooks
