Listening to this one on #libby while doing inventory at work and I seriously haven‘t decided if the narrator‘s Minnesota accent is helping the interpretation or hurting it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

#librarybook #library #booksaboutfood

Reggie What‘s funny is that when I was reading it I have them all Southern accents. Lol 4y

I went to a chocolate festival today and leave it to me to find the only book on sale at one of the booths! I got to meet the author, have her sign the book and take a picture with me!

Don't worry, I bought a 💩 ton of chocolate too! 😄😁😉

#readingwomenmonth #booksaboutfood I've read her earlier books "Tender at the bone" and "Comfort Me With Apples"both autobiographical, funny, & what kept leading her back to food writing."Garlic" about her time as New York Times food critic.MFK Fisher, the grand dame of food writing,5 of her titles in 1 volume, beginning with "Serve it Forth" published in 1937.She equates the art of eating with the art of living, part travel, memoir & food .?Yum.

lynneamch Love her! So glad ypu posted! 7y

I loved this slightly magical feeling book and definitely need to read the subsequent in the series - the book not only beautifully imagined amazing sweet treats to tempt even a priest but also a wonderful feast scene towards the end. I've not seen the film which i will have to do as it has juliette binoche as the lead.

Cathythoughts The film is really good 👍Juliette binoche AND Johnny Depp. Visually a treat 7y
andrew61 @Cathythoughts thanks, i will try and watch it although I want to read the other books in the series as well 7y

#readingwomenmonth

I enjoyed reading this as I always enjoy #booksaboutfood but I became sad when I realized it was one of the books I left behind when I moved cross country. 😕

A book about eating has to have food in it, right? Lunch time work reading. #readingwomenmonth #booksaboutfood
