August Wrap-up! 13 Books Finished with no DNF'S.

Favorite for the month was Viola Davis' Finding Me!

I didn't get as much read as I wanted to this month, but I never do.

Can't believe I havent read this til now! What a thought provoking story! Firemen go around burning books. Reading, books & free thinking become outlawed, no one engage in real conversations, people's ears plugged in with a device, eyes watching LED screens on walls at home 24/7! A scary world that could happen if we let it. Can't stop thinking about this book!
Highly recommend if you enjoy #1984, #BraveNewWorld or #TheGiver

BooknerdsLife And I need to thank my teenage daughter who recommended this book to me few years ago! She certainly has good taste in books! 6y
teainthelibrary It took me forever to pick it up also, and I felt the same exact way - should've picked it up a lot sooner. Great book! 6y
CarolynM It's not long since I read it for the first time and I reacted in much the same way. There's always a reason why a book becomes a classic. 6y
BooknerdsLife @teainthelibrary IKR! Love it so much! But I‘m glad I read it now as an adult instead of during high school. Don‘t think I‘d have appreciated it as much 6y
BooknerdsLife @CarolynM So true! I can‘t stop thinking about this one and just couldn‘t recommend it enough! 6y

Here‘s my #marchwrapup! Still not a great amount, but more than the previous two months combined lol. Slowly getting back into my groove. All “picks” as well but honestly, most of mine will be. At this point in my life, I‘m pretty good at picking books I know I‘ll like #bookwrapup

CollapsingLibrary What do you mean when you say “picks”? 6y

zest_thereader I read 1/27 of the books that you read that month. *Goes and cries in the corner* 6y
UnabridgedPod @zest_thereader No shame and no comparisons!! I‘d love to know: What did you read? Did you enjoy it? 6y
zest_thereader @Unabridged The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. Yeah, it was a good read, many of the twists were unpredictable but I found half of the book kinda slow. 6y
UnabridgedPod @zest_thereader Oh, I like that one—my husband agrees with your review! Will you read the rest of the trilogy? 6y
zest_thereader @Unabridged Yup, I have already half of the second book, I have kept it on hold for sometime though 6y
