I was reading this for IRL book club. I just can‘t make myself keep going. The audio narrator was fine but this is just not that interesting to me right now.

There are quite few “Are you there God? It‘s me Margaret.” moments with a “Clueless” feel. Not terribly deep but endearing.

Not my best color match for #Pantone2022 but close. Also completed my #Booked2022 prompt about a royal.

Such a sweet and lovely story. Found family, awesome kiddos, and cute love story vibes. Talia the gnome was my favorite. 🌱🪴🕳 A great lighter read after the seriousness of “What Storm.” Also, the #audio narrator was excellent and made it even harder to stop listening.

Suzze I avoided this for so long, as I didn‘t think I‘d like it. Boy was I wrong, 5⭐️! 2y

This was a difficult book to read, not because I wasn‘t pulled in but because the realism of the writing. This is a multi-POV fictional accounts of the Haitian earthquake of 2010 and aftermath. Profound, emotional, and book hangover worthy.

Overall it was quite enjoyable but there were places in the book that I had to push through. It was a little spy, a little romance, some coming of age (or conquering her childhood?) for a grown woman, and a lot of found family. I think what put me off was how Yolanda seemed so immature for her age. Maybe I‘m just jaded? 🤷‍♀️

Clwojick Wow, perfect colour match for this one!! ☺️👀 2y
Christyco125 @Clwojick I got really lucky there. It‘s been one of the colors I‘ve struggled with to find a match. 2y

This is a soft pick for me. The story revolves around 2 missing girls and estranged friends. The disappearances are resolved as expected. However, despite the predictably, it was a good story.

The #audio narrator was excellent. He gave each character a distinct voice.

Cinfhen Those two colors are stunning together!! Pretty much my ideal palette!!! Screen shot for the Pantones 😍also I thought this book was good but I had expected/ wanted just a little bit more🤷🏼‍♀️ 2y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Perfect for those colors and prompts. 2y
Clwojick Such a pretty cover! 2y
Christyco125 @Cinfhen @Clwojick - I‘m thinking this pairing of colors may make it into one of my unpainted rooms. #coverinspiration (edited) 2y

A lovely cover image for this audiobook. And Rosamund Pike was a surprisingly excellent narrator. This definitely is one of my favorite versions.

Woohoo. Another #pantone2022 color down on my challenge.

This was a doozy of a story. I love how the twist starts out so subtle and then 💥 bam - of course that‘s what‘s going on, why didn‘t I think of that sooner. Except, who, other than the author, would ever have thought of that ending. Maybe that‘s just me. 🤔

The audio narrator was good but the story was just too slow and off kilter. I had a hard time deciding if she was having exhaustive conversations with herself, with God, with herself talking for God.

This reminded me of a more adult version “Go Ask Alice.” It was a read quick and kept me interested all the way through. #Pantone2022 #SuperSonic #Booked2022 Cult or religion #2022Book3 #christyread

Christy2318 Oooooh I hadn‘t thought about the Go Ask Alice feel but yes, it does have that vibe! 2y
