This connects amazingly well to the book Laziness does not exist. It also explains why intellectuals are not valued in American society.

I‘ve started using an app called Readwise, that shows you the things you have highlighted in books you have read. It helps you remember what you‘ve read and review them. It‘s actually kind of cool.

First time in my life a book has moved me to tears before I‘m even past the preface! 🥹
I‘d say that‘s a good sign.

I'm waiting on my daughter, who has a job interview at Starbucks. I was going to work on lesson plans on their patio, but it's eleventy billion degrees (97°F), so I will be sitting with my ice white mocha in the car with the a/c on to work. 🥵

Traci1 And she got the job! So waiting in the hot was worth it. 😁 3y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I will be reading this book every single year we choose to homeschool. This book was so perfectly short and yet densely packed with biblical truths. I needed Sarah‘s wisdom and insights, and I appreciated her honesty. I even joined her Read Aloud Revival program. If you‘re considering homeschooling, or if you‘re a seasoned veteran, this book will soothe your soul and bolster your strength. I definitely recommend this book!

During a recent online conversation about tips for all of the new accidental homeschoolers, I was reminded that I published a series of posts about homeschooling on my blog several years ago. On the off-chance that these might be useful/interesting to others at this moment in time, here's the link to the first in the series: https://imperfecthappiness.org/2013/03/03/homeschooling-a-day-in-the-life-part-1...

Have been working through the fiction list in The Well-Educated Mind, so I thought I would post thoughts on the ones I‘ve read so far. Enjoying having something to sharpen my literary skills on other than my curriculum! #thewelleducatedmind #classics #greatbooks

I‘m not even sure how to classify this book. I loved it. I do know that. Thought provoking and funny by turn. ❤️
