Our library is starting a major renovation of its childrens area on Monday, so we went to stock up on books today. The kids are happily analyzing their haul and my 7 year old is reading a picture book to his 5 year old sister… it‘s a good day! #raisingreaders

This was just like other books in the series. It was really fun and so are the illustrations. I thought the ending was a little abrupt, but other than that, a nice read any time of year.

Cinfhen Yes!! @KarenUK is a GREAT resource 💕💕💕💕Im having mixed feelings about the McCann ~ it‘s written in bullet points - like McCann took all his research and put it into a book format. I‘m also sensitive to the Israeli /Palestinian narrative so I‘m having some personal thoughts/issues @BarbaraBB 4y

BarbaraBB I can imagine that the narrative has an effect on you. I hadn‘t heard of the book before yesterday. Remember that great book you sent me about Israeli/Palestinian love? One of my favorites in 2019 ❤️

GatheringBooks @Anna40 i recall that when i read this book, it was alongside other cybils finalists for that year (Children's and Young Adult Bloggers' Literary Awards), I was one of the judges that year and was rooting for another title to win. May have contributed to my so-so review. :) It is fun and engaging, tho, that‘s for sure. 4y
