Attended Emerald City Comic Con over the weekend and went to author panels for daaaaaaaaays (not pictured: the two that I moderated). So. Many. Great. Authors!! Went with the tagged book because I think I saw Delilah S. Dawson the most times. #ECCC #ECCC2019

I‘ve been AWOL for a few days because I was at #ALAMW19 here in #Seattle! I joined #ALA (American Library Association) because of the time I‘ve been volunteering in the school library, and so I went to grab a whole of books and info for school, and arcs for myself to review.
I had fun meeting online friends, talking w/people about books, met Blake Crouch, and gave myself sore shoulders. Books are always worth it.

This weekend at ECCC I got to meet Ryan North and Erika Henderson, and have them sign some comics!! I also asked Ryan and the illustrators of Midas Flesh to sign my copy of Vol. 1. AND there was an adorable and amazing Squirrel Girl cosplayer there!!

Needless to say, it was a great day! 😆☺️

So I didn‘t get to hear Josh Malerman‘s panel at Comic Con the other day, BUT much better, I DID get to be at the front of the signing line (because I missed the panel!) and had a long chat with him, (and fellow author Ed McDonald), and he wrote a few ‘short stories‘ in the front of my books: one in the front of ‘Bird Box‘ and inside my new copy of ‘Unbury Carol‘ 🙀 How bleeping awesome is that????!

I had a busy weekend - I spent Saturday at Comic Con and came away with some new books! I've had the Princess and the Dressmaker on my TBR, so I was really excited to see Jen Wang would be there, signing her new book, which was available for purchase. The other books I received for free from the publisher! They look really interesting, and I also got to meet all of these authors briefly! It was pretty fun!

I wish I could‘ve got another day‘s ticket (next year I‘ll get a day‘s ticket JUST to take photos), but #ECCC / Emerald City Comic Con yesterday was pretty awesome. So many awesome costumes to see; Roman was there for half the day with me and loved getting his photo taken with some cool characters, and I came away with a bunch of free books (and some signed). I‘m hurting today from the walking and carrying books though... Lots to read and review!

YAY, I didn't know this was happening!!!! Whoo hoo!!!! Big year for Josh Malerman!!!!

Throughly enjoyed this authors debut novel. Fast passed and immersive like nothing else I've read lately. Can't wait for the next book!
