While on a Louisiana road trip, I stopped at The Conundrum bookstore in St. Francisville. It had a perfect reading area and friendly atmosphere. #independentbookstore

Wrapped all the gifts for #jolabokaflod #littlechristmasswap and #bestof2021swap

If I see ANY of my matches posting that they've picked up ANY of the books I bought them, I will flip!!

Don't even think about it!

JamieArc While I love swaps, I hate that I can‘t buy myself any books for a little while! 😂 4y
Amiable @JamieArc I was literally standing in the bookstore this weekend with a book in my hand that I really, really want and had to put it down because I remembered that it was on one of my swap lists! 😀 4y
jdiehr @JamieArc @Amiable The struggle is real 😄 4y

candority Hahah I always just play it safe and don‘t buy anything in the time leading up to a swap! 4y
melissajayne Hence why I don‘t buy anything on my list and if I get them through the library, I return them. 4y

I've owned this since college and haven't read it till now. There have been some updates in the last 13 years that makes this book less relevant, like LED lights. Also it mostly just states to use and buy less. There's still some good info though

Very informative read for someone interested in botany and how plants effect the environment and how we, in turn, effect plants

I‘m excited to start this book about four women who shaped a cultural shift from valuing industry back to nature. And I love the cover! #readingwomen

4.25⭐️

This was such a well done telling of the life and lasting impact of Alexander con Humboldt. I never knew about him before reading this book but I learned about how much he had influenced many of the people in environmental history that I greatly admire. This book starts with his early life and continues through his career and worldly travel till his death; after which it is followed by the influences he had on people in the field.

Schnoebs @Birdsong28 I was originally going to use this as the audiobook but decided to use it for the prompt of a book set in South American because his biggest travels and research on what he‘s known for is from his explorations of South American. That‘s another one for #52booksin52weeks 👍 6y
Crazeedi Oh crap, I had this from overdrive and left it go back! I need to get it and read, I heard such good things! 6y
Schnoebs @Crazeedi I really loved it. My favorite was probably the fact that they commented on how much on an impact he had on the entire scientific community and how you see him in the research of other great people in the field 6y
Birdsong28 👍😘📚📖 6y

I'm not participating in #LiteraryLuck, but I like to do the color pics like #GreenReads now that I have all of my books out of storage.
