Felt the same as Lovelight Farms: difficult to catch on to and connect with. So many people with a lot to follow, and the skipping around plus flashbacks also got confusing
Sunday reading with snuggly Penny.
I‘m so impressed with Cait Nary‘s range, y‘all. She‘s great at high stress romances (SEASON‘S CHANGE), adorable romcoms (LUCKY BOUNCE), and stuff like this, which slides into that sweet spot where there‘s SOME stress for the characters but it‘s mostly about them, like, finding their way through a scenario they hoped they could avoid but are actually coping with really well. IT‘S SO GOOD. Bring on the back half.
Soft pick, but I do love this cover! This is the sequel to Lovelight Farms and focuses on Beckett and Evie. I wanted to like this book more than I did, but I got a little bored of these two just constantly lusting after each other without actually having real conversations. It felt unrealistic/eye rolly that shagging for two nights, no real talking, has left them both pining for a year. I liked both these characters but wanted more from their ⬇
Mrs. Borison can write. I just think her writing was not supported by a plot. As I say that, the further along I read the story reached in and pulled my heart strings. Even if there is an imbalance between the presentation of characters. There‘s Beckett, super hot, sleeve tatted, papa to 4 kittens, would give the shirt off his back to help anyone and not hurt their feelings introvert. And then there‘s Evie an influencer who is ready to put 👇🏼
Borison has a way with writing that I immensely enjoy. This is the second installment in the Lovelight Farm series. It‘s just as charming and lovely as the first. I wish I could visit Lovelight. 🌲 🩶
This was my #TitlesAndTunes #GuiltyPleasure and it absolutely was a pleasure. Not as hockey heavy as the first in the series, but a lovely slow burn #romantsy. Great stuff!

So my definition of a guilty pleasure is things I enjoy without thinking they are in any way objectively good.
I love a hockey romance, especially a romance between hockey players - no literary value, no new ideas or things to learn, just the warm & fuzzies & bit of smut doesn‘t go amiss 😆
The song is one I absolutely hated when it was released - annoyingly catchy rubbish pop🤮 When I hear it now I sing along 😎
I inhaled and absolutely loved this entire trilogy. She's an aspiring performer - singing, dancing, acting - who recently lost her mom and is struggling to pay the bills in LA. He's a successful singer/songwriter, producer, piano prodigy, and all around famous artist. Sparks fly, tension builds, a lot of messy hurdles to make it work, a lot of misunderstandings along the way, and so much 🌶
Now I HAVE to add Before I Let Go to my next BOTM box!
I LOVED this book! The hero in this one is now in my top five of book heroes - so incredibly easy to fall for. 🧡 The heroine was lovely too, their story so endearing, precious and oozing romance. I am thoroughly enjoying this series. #bookspin
