#theskyboatsong made me think of the Hindenburg. It looks like a submarine. In the sky. What can I say? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I loved this book! Lawhon‘s best so far, imo. #soaringscores

Cinfhen I started the tagged book but couldn‘t get into it🤷🏼‍♀️it‘s in #Hibernation 🐻eventually I‘ll try again 2mo
Mdargusch Still one of my favorite books! 2mo
CrowCAH Yup, a type of “ship” in the sky! 2mo

This fictionalized account of the Hindenburg was well done. The author researched the victims and tried to portray their days as they traveled across the ocean on the airship. I am still not convinced about what caused the tragedy, but Lawson did a good job laying out possible causes.

This book had been in my TBR list (and shelf) for a couple of years now and finally just decided it was time to read it. I really enjoyed it. I realized I knew next to nothing about The Hindenburg, the passengers or even how it the airship itself worked. I very much enjoyed the writing, the characters and the obvious research that went into telling the story. It's been a little over a week since I read it but the characters are still with me.

Hooked_on_books I really liked this one! I also enjoyed her next book, which was a little different, but came together well in the end. 10mo
Bookish_B @Hooked_on_books I plan to read that one but it probably won't be for a while. I do already own The Wife, the Maid and, the Mistress so I think that will be next one of hers for me 😊 10mo

I belong to the Merrymakers Book Club, and this was our most recent selection. I really enjoyed this book, and I was surprised that a novel about the Hindenburg could have such character development. It certainly is a fun read, and I found myself reading well into the night, which is my way of saying that I loved this book.

I probably should have read the physical book instead of the audiobook. At times I struggled to stay focused even though it‘s an interesting story and very well written. The ending was heartbreakingly beautiful. 💔#MountTBR

Fiction about the final flight of the Hindenburg. I thought it was well done. The characters were diverse and interesting. And I liked the sight mystery element.

Loved this historical fiction story about the few days before the 1937 Hindenburg Zeppelin explosion. The author selected a handful of characters to focus her story around. See my review at https://youtu.be/e4Pa5v6SQm4

A HARD DAY‘S NIGHT

The Hindenburg definitely made for a “hard day‘s night” and a terrific book.

FLIGHT OF DREAMS tells of the three-day flight of the Hindenburg and its fire on the third day as it neared its landing spot of Lakehurst, New Jersey.

This book is well researched and a wonderful way to learn about this historical event.

I went old school with my #BOTM selection! I miss the early days of #BOTM when the choices were really varied and each book seemed well curated. I was slightly tempted by The Perfect Mother but after so many disappointing thrillers, I decided to skip it! I am curious why the choices are up so early?!?!?!

Reviewsbylola Yes the choices somehow don‘t seem so carefully selected. I think The Mars Room sounds like it has amazing potential!! 2y
Mdargusch I hope you like Fight of Dreams as much as I did! 2y
MinDea I also chose The Mars Room. It sounds really good. 2y
