Meant to post this yesterday for #MysteryMonday but ran out of time... I received this book from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I apparently didn't read the description of this book carefully, meaning the tagged words. So I didn't realize that this book is Faith based... so there were many mentions of God and times of Prayer. I am typically capable of looking past this, but found it difficult this go round.

vkois88 In addition, I found the mysteries themselves to be a bit redundant in a few cases. They were all also short, predictable, and almost TOO neatly wrapped up in the end of each. This book had serious potential... a book club that meets in a coffee shop? That would definitely be up my alley. Generous rating of 3🌟. 6y

This book was so much fun! Not only did this book take place in my home state, but... A luxury retreat at a hotel where the theme is books??? Yes, please. Sign me up ASAP. Just when I thought I had solved the mystery, Adams took it in a totally different direction. She also gave the tag line "Virginia Is For Book Lovers." I knew I HAD to turn it into a bag line for my shop. I'll be able to customize for each state. 4? #MysteryMonday #CozyMystery

Goodbye God, I'm Going to Bodie | Calamity Jan

I got to visit Bodie State Historic Park during last weeks camping trip. Bodie is one of the most well preserved gold mining ghost towns. It was fascinating and spooky. Naturally I walked away with a couple of books and a bookmark but I didn't take anything from the park as I didn't want to fall victim to the mysterious Bodie Curse. 👻

mrp27 @ReadOrDieRachel There are letters from former visitors saying they took a rock, a nail, a piece of broken glass etc. and afterwards they experienced a run of bad luck. Some visitors went so far as to mail back the items they took. Of course nay sayers say the curse is a hoax, something the Rangers say to keep people from taking items from the park. I wasn't going to chance it! 😝 (edited) 7y

Nancy Drew 15: The Haunted Bridge | Carolyn Keene

These are some of the first mysteries I remember reading as a child. I love the cover of The Haunted Bridge, but I'm pretty sure it gave me nightmares (it still might!) I really want to reread these, along with my other Nancy Drew books & Trixie Belden. #ReadingResolutions #MysteryMonday

madamereadsalot1 @Tashreads I do too! And apparently there's a show of it and Jason Issacs (Lucius Malfoy) plays him in the film version of it. I haven't seen it though. Just trailers and promo pics. 7y
