pickHow have I never read Charlie Jane Anders before?! She's amazing. She and Annalee Newitz were fabulous toastmasters at Chicon8, and I love their podcast, Our Opinions are Correct. I picked up this novelette at con, and enjoyed it immensely. Now I'm checking out more of her work.
We had to read this one for a horror class in college and boy howdy was it an interesting discussion day. My mom ended up also reading it from our shared iCloud drive and wants to borrow my book when I‘m done. I love the mix of children‘s scary stories and an adult experience.

pickThis was a great dark fantasy short story with wonderful twists and turns. I hope you enjoyed it despite the delays in my wrapping it up. We will be taking a hiatus from Lite Reads until the fall (September 12) but this was a great one to end for the summer on.

pickLoved it! I‘m a huge fan of the Machineries of Empire series, but it is dense and confusing & Lee never lets up with the (amazing, mind blowing) world building in the main trilogy. This prequel short story/novella is an amuse bouche - a delightful snack - action, innuendo, military space-stuff. Just what I was hoping for.
