To me, the #partridgeinapeartree is the most important thing in the song. It's why we hear it all the time. But at the same times it's starts to wear on you and get tiresome.

I give you Scout from TKaMB. Without her their would be no story. No matter the book, we see the world through her eyes. But as we age, we see our parents through different eyes. Which is what we see in Watchman. People think Atticus changed, but it was Scout.
