#AugustPhotoChallenge #peachcoloredbooks I actually love this picture with Ralph Fiennes looking at the desert and all those great orange-peachey shades of the sunset. It's one of those rare books where I think the movie is better, but Maybe that's just because Ralph Fiennes is in it... ❤️

DebinHawaii @Imagineannie It's a children's book from 1958 about an American family living in Northern Japan where they are the first Americans the town has seen. I had a fascination for anything from Japan as a child and used to check it out from the library. Several years ago I found this copy at Powell's & bought it. The copy is from The Weekly Reader Children's Book Club which I think is kind of fun--sort of an early kids BOM. 😀📚❤️ 8y
