pickOlga and her brother “Prieto,” have always strived to make their mother proud. A mother, who most of their lives swoops in as a ghost.
Told in dual POVs, this story follows the 2 siblings trying to find their place in the world when the person who was supposed to be their anchor abandons them for her cause.
I loved how this story was constructed and especially loved the extended family dynamics.
The audiobook narrators were superb!

As a fact-checker Gabby DiMarco believes in verifiable truths but those beliefs are rocked when a genealogy test uncovers a sister she never knew existed, a family she never knew she belonged to. Or does she?
A sad read but it also keeps you reading until the final secret revealed!

pickSweet but evoked so much pathos that it was often hard to read. Two youngsters born in Puerto Rico are involved In familial drama that leaves them both overwhelmed and trying to find their place in the world. It‘s a tear-jerker but worth it!
