First up in the #mounttbrreadathon is my weekly reading for the #readingenvyreadathon. Once again, I‘ve fallen behind. Time to catch up! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Suelizbeth I just got my book earlier this week, so I bet I‘m further behind than you. I‘m going to be trying to play catch up with that one and a few others. Love these readathons. 7y
Megabooks @Suelizbeth me too! It‘s a great reason to sit down and just read. The book is really good. Enjoy! 7y

Guess who made it halfway today? #readingenvyreadathon

underthebelljar Nice! 👍🏻😁 I just got to Part 3! 8y
Bookchipmunk Excellent! I still have 90 pages to the halfway mark and with the big graduation weekend I'm probably going to fall behind. 🙃 (edited) 8y
ReadingEnvy @Bookchipmunk I think weeks 3 and 4 move quickly so you will get there! Have a great weekend! 8y

What Do I Read Next? | Neil Barron

This big stack is staring at me and I have no idea what to pick next. 😬 What do you suggest? (One on the top is The Martian Chronicles by Bradbury)

CAGirlReading The Sparrow, hands down!😄 8y
SusanInTiburon Can't go wrong there, I think! Sparrow's hard to beat, but Remains of the Day left a big impression on me. 8y
Aluciddreamstate The brief wondrous life of oscar wao I would highly recommend (edited) 8y

ReadingEnvy A bunch of us are reading East of Eden for the #readingenvyreadathon, The Sparrow is intense and so good, Oscar Wao is a unique and memorable voice. Those would be three votes! 8y
AlaMich I think the new audio version of Oscar Wao is my next read. It's read by Lin-Manuel Miranda; I listened to a sample and he sounds great! 8y
AlaMich But also, Into Thin Air is unputdownable!!! Seriously!! You will feel yourself getting frostbite. 8y
CrowCAH The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, because it's the only book in your stack I've read. 8y
emilyhaldi I read this book in high school and loved it. I keep seeing people posting about it recently and it has me dying to read again!!! 8y
mcipher The only one I've read is this one, which I really loved. 8y
BarbaraJean I'm adding my vote for The Sparrow!! SO. GOOD. But East of Eden, too... 8y
Bostonmomx2 East of Eden!!!! 8y
LeahBergen Into Thin Air if you are feeling like addictive nonfiction adventure. The Remains of the Day if you feel like pre WW2 England with spectacular writing. 😁 (edited) 8y
Skybariline I'm halfway through The Sparrow and recommend it 8y
Reviewsbylola The Plot Against America!!! 8y

Currently my before bed reading is an issue or two of Northanger Abbey on #SerialReader. I tend to read from my phone or iPad at night so I don't have to deal with a booklight or lamp, but both are available on the chest in my bedroom that serves as a nightstand. There's also my Bible and a few borrowed books to be read, as well as my new copy of East of Eden for the upcoming #ReadingEnvyReadathon.

#AprilBookShowers #onthenightstand

Reviewsbylola I've got The Rosie Project on my TBR too. 8y
Daisey @Reviewsbylola To be honest, it wasn't even on my radar, but a friend gave it a strong recommendation and now that she's cleaning out her bookshelves for a move she gave her copy to me, moving it up on my TBR. (edited) 8y
