Mehso-so

My least favorite Nancy Drew book of the series so far. It just felt very ridiculous and unlikely. I also don‘t think the ebook was 100% accurate. I felt like I was missing something or there were typos and stuff. Hopefully the next one is better.

Librarybelle I noticed the typos too in the ebook version! 2mo

Nope! All done with this trilogy (2nd in the series). Too much angel/devil/religious rules. She has to be a virgin so she doesn‘t get corrupted and not allowed to touch the guy. And she‘s so ashamed about how turned on she is because she‘s an effin 21 year old and wants to have sex. I know this series is older, but F THAT! To each their own and their own beliefs but this series is over for me.

Read this last week. I‘m not sure if these are getting better or worse… This one a lot and nothing both happened. This one was more about the relationships, which is fine. But I feel like they‘re really dragging out the political situation. I mean, I‘ll keep reading them but meh.

I won this from a Goodreads Giveaway.

Short book of kids poems. I loved the illustrations in the book. The poems were cute and had a good message in all of them. Would be a great book to read to children at night.

Thanks to Goodreads, the publisher and Kelly for the E-book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

Sometimes after a first book, the second isn't as good. That's NOT the case with 'Shades of Mercy'. It's as good, if not better than the first 'The Bitter Past.'. Beck's corner of the world is not so quiet anymore. Like all the country, fentanyl is taking over, and they are trying to get a hold on it. There's drones that are being highjacked by someone and doing scary things. There's a girl that's not as sweet and innocent as she seems.

Wowsers, what a book for a first in a new series. I don't know how Borgos did it, but he was able to combine 3 different genres and it make it work. He wrote a police procedural, spy thriller and a historical fiction book all in one. His take on going back to the past, was one I have never seen before and to be worked wonderful!

Porter Beck is a vet with a special skill set. He is now Sheriff of Lincoln County in Nevada. Right next door ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read is Area 51. When his deputies come across a dead body after doing a wellness check, the government is soon knocking on his door. As the bodies start piling up, he knows he's not being told everything.

Borgos started developing Beck:s character and I can't wait to see where he goes with Beck from here. I enjoyed learning about the nuclear side of the book and what went on in 1956-1957. Amazing first book in what I think will be a great series.

First published July 18, 2023

Thanks to Netgalley, Saint Martin Press, Minotaur Books and Bruce Borgos for the E-Arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

Shooting Bogies is a quick fun crime read with a golf theme. It's set in New Jersey and involves a cast of characters from the finance world, the mob, and the government.

Rocky Demonic makes a serious mistake at the funeral of an Italian mobster. Soon, he is called to Gino's office, the son of mobster, to explain why he disrespected the family. Before, he knows it he is having to do a job for Gino. Rocky doesn't have any urge to do ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read anything but play golf, even though he's having to do a job for Gino.

I have never read a book by Monti before, but I enjoyed his writing. He had a way that grabbed me in the first chapter and before I knew it, I was halfway through the book. I rated this a 4⭐'s because I felt it was rushed at the end. Other than that, it was a good read and I would read him again.

I won this book through a Goodreads Giveaway. Thanks to Goodreads, and Monti for the E-boik. All thoughts and opinions are my own. #readaway2024 #readmykindle

I like looking for new recipes bc I get tired of fixing the same thing over and over. I found a lot of good recipes to try from breakfast to suppers to deserts. Now if my picky husband will like them🤣

I counted the sections as chapters for the #20in4 there were 6 sections. Brings my total up to 16 Chapters. @Andrew65

JFK Fyi | Gary B. Haley

What a book! It's a True Crime book on JFK's assassination and I can promise you have never read a book this well researched . I learned a whole lot. It's always been thought that Oswald didn't act alone in JFK's assassination. Haley took me on a deep dive into the years leading up to JFK's Presidency to his assassination.

I have to admit, I always have thought the government had a hand in JFK's killing. After reading this though, I now ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read know there is so much more to the story. I never realized how many people hated him. I was born in the 70's so everything I learned about him and his assassination I learned from school. After reading this book, I can see anyone of the people or countries mentioned actually putting a hit on JFK. After finishing this, I am positive Oswald didn't. He was just a pansy the real assassins used. They then had him killed before he could squeal.

I think everyone, that has ever wondered what really happened, needs to read JFK FYI by Gary B. Haley. It published September 15, 2023. Run to your local library or favorite bookstore and read this book. It's so fascinating and eye-opening.

Thanks to BookSirens, Haley and HaveCoffeeWillPublish. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

😊 Happy Reading 😊
