willaful @Bookwormjillk I don't think I've seen enough of Cynthia to make that argument, though it won't surprise me if it turns out to be true. Cynthia seems pretty shrewd and it's hard to believe she has no idea Molly is developing feelings for Roger.

The omniscient narrator is generally very kind to Cynthia and I'm not sure if we're supposed to believe it or not. 3mo
