A great book about 3 women in a small Australian country town in the grip of drought. There's pain, heartache and some tense moments but ultimately a happy ending. Well written and always interesting. #australianfiction #aussiefiction #ruralfiction

The Family Secret was a fast read but am enjoyable one. We catch up with the main characters of The Saddler Boys, but this story is about Kim and Charlie. Kim's a lonely farmer, Charlie has come to the country to find out more about a decades old secret. There is also a historical plot set during the Vietnam war. I felt sometimes that the 2 plot lines competed against each other, but it was still a great Aussie rural fic. #australian #ruralfiction

I've been hooked on Australian Rural Fiction for the past year. This is a medical story set in the Outback. Almost half way through and I like it a lot! #australian #ruralfiction

I recently read this again and still love it. I love this novel! It has all the right ingredients for me to make a great story. The rural setting, a little suspense and mystery, a heroin strong enough to face all the obstacles put in her way, with her friends standing by her and a man fighting for and with her. North Star was an easy read and I got so wrapped up in the story, that I stayed up late to finish it. #australian #ruralfiction
