Book 24 in the Hamish Macbeth series has quite the stack of dead bodies by the end. Not my favorite but I love this series. 4⭐️ 55 points

Hamish has more relationship woes and the bad guys in this one are pretty awful. I‘ve sped through 4 of these books this week. Highly recommended for lovers of cozy mysteries. 4⭐️

Book 18 of the Hamish Macbeth series down! I still miss the old narrator but I‘m slowly getting used to the new one. I enjoy this cozy series and all of the village drama. 4⭐️

This was a big improvement over the last two audiobooks in the Hamish Macbeth series. I still miss the old narrator but I‘m getting used to the new one. I‘d highly recommend this and the Agatha Raisin series to anyone who likes cozy murder mysteries, and the books aren‘t super long. 4⭐️

A fun cozy mystery set in the Scottish Highlands. First in a series, and I will read more.

Book 12 of the Hamish Macbeth series is another pick for me. The first couple of books were just okay to me, but the deeper I get into the series the more I like it. M.C. Beaton is the best! I also really enjoy the narrator for this series. 4⭐️ #audiobook #cozymystery #HamishMacbeth #MCBeaton #murdermystery

When Hamish Macbeth, local constable of the Scottish village of Lochdubh, tries to break up one of the many fights involving Randy Duggan, the ruffian challenges him to a fistfight. But on the chosen day, Duggan is found shot to death and Macbeth is rumored to be the likely suspect. Macbeth must find the murderer, clear his name, and restore his Highland paradise to its usual

EadieB tranquility. This is a light and entertaining cozy mystery which is a look at life in a small Scottish village. Hamish is the sort of character who grows on you. He needs to find out who murdered Randy Duggan in order to save both his career and his life. He is sure that the murder of the Macho Man was a crime of passion. I am now looking forward to another Hamish Macbeth novel. 2y
EadieB There are plenty more to choose from so that won't be a problem. If you like comedy with your mysteries then you will love this book. 2y

kezzlou85 I vaguely remember the TV series because my mum had a crush on Robert Carlyle. I've read a couple of the books and need to go back to them. 2y

D. K. Broster seems to be mostly forgotten these days, but I've enjoyed very much several of her historical fiction novels . This novel is the first of a trilogy about the unexpected friendship between two soldiers on opposite sides of the 1745 Jacobite rebellion in Scotland.
