panSo I finally finished this book and I'm reminded once again why I don't read contemporary fiction. I read this for a book club and based on the title I thought there was a chance I might like it. It did have some great stuff in there regarding what work is really like, so good in fact I'm sorry the overall plot ruined it. It seems everyone thinks they have a murder mystery novel in them. Also, he just uses absurdity for absurdity's sake.

1) Where the Sidewalk Ends, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
2) I think I have only posted about the tagged book one or two other times, but I remember it was pretty funny. Anything by David Sedaris. I always get a good chuckle out of the Miriam Black books.
3) Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad, Slaughter's Grant County, Christie's Poirot, Cormoran Strike, Megan Abbott.

Wasn't posting until they were actually at the post office and I've FINALLY done it!!! I'm still behind on a LOT but a little progress is better than none, right? pickQuite possibly the most absurd and laugh-out-loud book I've ever read. Also, one of the best opening paragraphs of all time.

So apparently this is happening in our town this spring! I didn't go to my high school prom and I'm not sure how I feel about it as an adult. Who knows, might be fun! This also reminded me that I have to get my a$$ in gear and grab the book for #losersclub and get reading! Im so far behind with everything lol #slacker #prom
